Welcome to the Elim Residential Home, a place that offers affordable accommodation to able-bodied persons over the age of 60, who deserve to spend their twilight years with dignity and care.

The vision of Elim Residential Home started with Pastor Paul Langeland-Hansen, who wanted to create a space where the elderly could live comfortably in their later years. His son, Pastor F. Langeland-Hansen, took on his father's vision and was instrumental in initiating the project, laying the groundwork for the Home. Unfortunately, he passed away in 1994, a year before the first phase of the Home was completed. The new Chairperson of the Bethshan Group of churches, Pastor David Nadesan, helped bring the construction of the Home to completion in 1995.

Since then, the Home has been providing accommodation to the elderly, with a committee elected to run the Home, making sure that the residents receive the care and services they need. In 2006, the second phase of the Home was completed, allowing the Home to accommodate up to 20 residents, with a communal lounge added for the residents to gather, socialize, and have meals together.

At Elim Residential Home, we provide essential services, including spiritual counselling, pastoral care, and prayer, to ensure that our residents are not just physically comfortable but emotionally fulfilled as well. We encourage our residents to fellowship at Berea church and be part of the church's ministry, promoting a sense of community and belonging.

To keep our doors open, the Home relies on donations and funds to meet its ongoing expenses, which include electricity and water, maintenance, cleaning and gardening, repairs, and administration. We appreciate any support we receive as it helps us continue to provide a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

Thank you for considering Elim Residential Home as a place for your loved ones. We are committed to providing the best care possible to ensure that our residents live their twilight years with dignity and respect.
